Love is Easy (8/19/14)

Just got a call today.
She's saying she's not ok,
saying that she gave it a try.
And it ain't just working this time.
She's saying goodbye.
She's saying goodbye.

You said loving is just easy.
But it ain't easy as it looks.
Then You came and showed me how.
when you laid your life down.

You make loving look so easy.
When you spread your arms for me.
And took the nails on your hands and feet.
You made loving look so easy,
When You loved me.
When You loved me.

Just got a text today.
He's saying he's not alright.
Saying sorry for a hundreth time,
and it won't happen the next time.
Should I give it a chance?
Should I give it a chance?

You said forgiving is just easy.
But it ain't easy as it sounds.
Then You came and told me how.
when you laid your life down.

You make forgiving sound so easy.
When you cried out on Calvary.
And took all my sins from me.
You made forgiving sound so easy,
When You forgave me.
When You forgave me.

The Passionate Shepherd to his Love by Christopher Marlowe

The Passionate Shepherd to his Love

Come live with me and be my love,
And we will all the pleasures prove
That valleys, groves, hills, and fields,
Woods, or steepy mountain yields.
And we will sit upon rocks,
Seeing the shepherds feed their flocks,
By shallow rivers to whose falls
Melodious birds sing madrigals.

And I will make thee beds of roses
And a thousand fragrant poises,
A cap of flowers, and a kirtle
Embroidered all with leaves of myrtle;

A gown made of the finest wool
Which from our pretty lambs we pull;
Fair lined slippers for the cold,
With buckles of the purest gold;

A belt of straw and ivy buds,
With coral clasps and amber studs;
And if these pleasures may thee move,
Come live with me, and be my love.

The shepherds's swains shall dance and sing
For thy delight each May morning:
If these delights thy mind may move,
Then live with me and be my love.
- While reading the classical poem, Songs of Solomon come to mind. When the king would urge his love to "Come away with me". Like Jesus, the Passionate Shepherd and to us His Beloved.

Music From Another Room

As I play my piano in the air,
I close my eyes and imagine it there.
I could hear every note and every tune.
It felt surreal, it felt so true.

Across the hall, I could clearly hear,
The beating of the drums.
In tune with the beating of my heart.

Love is like
Music from another room.
You could hear, you could feel,
But you can’t just see.
Yet it feels so true and real.

I could hear it now,
The movement of the bass.
Like blood rushing through my veins.

Then the guitars are plucked and strummed.
I could feel every single string.
Movement of each finger,
The feel in each finger tip.

I could hear them all.
Piano, drums, guitar and bass.
The melody and tune,
I know it will end soon.

As I heard the cymbals clang,
I wondered why it felt so undone.
I realized, as I listened for the whole time.
I never heard any words uttered or rhymed.

Love can sometimes be
Music from another room.
You could hear, you could feel
Oh! Sometimes it feels so real.

But then, you need words for
To become a song to sing.
For it can be just a melody, a lonely tune,

In your head, you long to sing.
